See Saw was our debut single. A triple j favourite in 1989 as the national youth broadcaster first spread its wings across the country.
This version features our good friend Danny Krivan on piano and was arranged, sadly to commemorate the passing of our great friend, bandmate, musician, referee, encyclopaedic music mind and gentleman, Grant Smith.
We performed this arrangement at the Barwon Club in Geelong, Victoria at Grant's memorial along side two other tunes, but See Saw had always been Grant's favourite. He maintained that the original reminded him of Prefab Sprout and he loved Prefab Sprout. We felt it fitting that we record this arrangement and dedicate it to him. We've included it with this record because Grant was with us as a supporter from the very start, and here, we are starting all over again. Love ya Smitty.
There's lots of depth and sunken low-end to the spiraling space rock made by Mint Field, augmented with twinkling electronic flourishes. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 14, 2023
Entirely analog, lush melodic pop with a tender heart from L.A. artist Human Barbie sounds bigger than the bedroom project it is. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 22, 2020
